Why ‘Preview’ release ?

The current version of Shopsplit is called Preview since the scope is limited and frequent updates are released. Though our combined uk product catalogue has more than 150k products – from 6 online supermarkets – it is just the beginning of the journey and there is much more to come.

We see the preview release as a win-win situation, anyone can try the platform online and enjoy the savings identified while at the same time the Team Shopsplit behind the scenes gets valuable user feedback.

..since its Preview only, is it reliable ?

We believe it is, but do not take our word for it, please try it for yourself. At the same time, it is important to state we are not able to suggest substitute product in all cases and that – ie 100% match rate – is not even our goal at the moment.

Let’s take an example or 10 products. There is a quite a good chance Shopsplit is able to recommend relevant variants and substitutes for 8 out of 10 products and potentially some incorrect items for the remaining 1-2 products. It would be certainly bigger saving if we got the last two right as well but at the moment we take it step by step and 80% sounds like a good start and we will work hard to improve this further.

What is still in development ?

In short, a bit of everything.. While we have already significant number of products in the combined UK Product Catalogue we aim to increase this further by adding more supermarkets. In addition also working on new features, some look & feel changes and additional supporting materials and tutorial videos. Will share any major updates or improvements in our newsletter and in the Latest News section.
